THE PROPOSAL: Our proposal took place in Cannon Beach, Oregon. A trip which Jackson had surprised me with, we stayed at the hallmark inn and had a gorgeous room with a large balcony and view, right in front of haystack rock. We had an amazing and romantic dinner at Newmans at 988, and then headed back to our hotel since it was raining. When we got to our hotel Jackson had setup candles, wine, blankets and pillows on our balcony so we could play our favorite card game (uno) and still enjoy the beach while staying dry. At some point in the game he pretended to spill wine and asked me to hand him a napkin, when I reached for the napkins beneath them was a box with the most beautiful engagement ring in it, I was COMPLETELY surprised and as he got down on one knee, and popped the question, we cried, laughed and I said of course! ( or something along those lines)

WHERE WAS IT? Our Wedding took place in Woodland, Washington. (Peterson Farms / Red Barn / Columbia Fruit)

VISION FOR THE DAY: The vision Jackson and I both had was that of a warm, bright, laid back and romantic setting. We wanted it to be romantic and welcoming, but also incorporate Jackson’s love of fishing and my love of bright colors.

THE PLANNING PROCESS: The planning process was just that, long and busy. We had help from both families and some of our friends as well.

THE VENUE: The Red Barn at Peterson Farms was our picture perfect venue. From the moment we walked in we knew that was the place. From the plants and water feature out front to the rustic decor inside we loved every inch of it. The string lights upstairs were one of our favorite parts, they made the perfect romantic setting once the sun went down.

BRIDE’S DRESS: The Brides Gown was David’s Collection by David’s Bridal

BRIDE’S SHOES: The Brides Shoes were DV by Dolce Vita

JEWELLERY/ACCESSORIES: The Sash on the waist was Vera wang as well as the Veil, and the brides bouquet was wrapped in a handkerchief that the brides mother received in her own wedding day from her grandmother.

HAIR & MAKEUP: Hair and makeup were done by Megan and Shawna Pirovano

GROOMS ATTIRE: The groom wore Calvin Klein from head to toe

THE FLOWERS: The flowers were purchased the Vancouver farmers Market From GX Family garden. The bouquets were. Arranged by Lauren’s Cousin Lori and Family Friend Linnea.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER: Our photographer and friend was Fantastic, from the very beginning we knew we wanted to have One Bloom photography capture our big day. Not only had we heard great things from other people but we had loved what we saw. Amongst all the wedding day chaos it was reassuring to know that regardless of the what may arise our pictures were in good hands. Aaron was friendly, efficient and captured each moment we had wanted with confidence. We could tell with each setup and shot that he had a vision or idea and he seemed excited about that, and that got us excited! We used Aaron for our engagement and wedding photos and without a doubt will use him for any other special moments in our future! And tell our family and friends about OneBloom Photography.

INVITATIONS & STATIONERY: Our invitations and save the dates were done through Vista Print, online. And our beautiful programs were done by Mari Batchelor, a friend of the bride with a small paper goods business.

FOOD & DRINK: Our Food was Catered By Tommy’s Catering. Tommy was fabulous to work with, from the menu and choices, to helping with the layout of the reception etc. Tommy was a wonderful help. And very hands on. Aside from his helpfulness during the planning process, Tommy’s catering truly prepared AMAZING food for our wedding. We had salmon, beef tenderloin, rosemary mashed potatoes, an arugula pear and blue cheese salad, and a pesto torte, to name a few. Our family and friends still tell us how delicious the dinner was!

THE HONEYMOON: Jackson and I spent about 4 days in Long beach Washington after the wedding but will be going to the Dominican Republic in December/January for our official honeymoon.

A MEMORABLE MOMENT:It is so hard to decide on just one moment, but our favorite Part of our ceremony was our silent vows, it was such a special moment that only Jackson and I will know. What was said and promised at that moment will forever be cherished and practiced by the both of us. And another favorite moment was just having all of our friends and family in one place.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES: Enjoy each moment of your wedding day, don’t get caught up in the little details. Breathe, Laugh, Cry ( tears of joy of course) and look around. On that day, look around at each face there, and know that everyone who is there, is there because they love you and your spouse. People come from all over to share that day with you, and that speaks volumes as to what they think of you and the love they have for you. As my cousin told me ” no one knows what should be, so just relax and enjoy each little moment, because whose wedding is it?…Yours”.

CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE: Our DJs Larry and Josh of Prestige Sounds. Were fabulous! Without Larry and Josh where would the party have gone? Those two made the day go as smoothly as it did, from the ceremony music to reception music, their itinerary provided the timeline for the whole evening. Their energy was amazing, and they were beyond friendly and outgoing, just what you look for in an emcee and DJ. We will absolutely telling, our friends about them!

And of course a HUGE thank you to all of our family and friends who came from all over to share this big day with us. We love you beyond words and cannot imagine our lives without you.

To our Moms and Dad. Thank you for everything you have done for us! We are lucky to have such amazing role models in our lives!
